Got my wires crossed

Got confused changing some light switches and plugs, and now when I turn the hall light on, the porch lights go out. Who would have guessed? What's a 3-way switch? I thought that was for kinky people.

with regards to your wires muck up,I once sorted out my nails incorrectly and put the left hand ones in the wrong side of the building and had to take them all out and start again.Who would of thought that nails have the heads on the left or right end-"such is life"
